Look, look at my new socks! I ordered this yarn as a special treat to myself for my birthday in April. MrB cranked them out yesterday and today I managed to kitchener up the toes to make them complete. The colours are bright and happening, and I had MrB make them a little shorter in the stockinette knowing that they will look awesome with my capris when I need to wear socks and running shoes. I will definitely be showing these off at the Good Karma Farm Crank-in. Now if anyone wants to know where I got this beautiful hand dyed yarn from, I did get permission from Lisa in Dover Vermont, to give her a shout-out! This yarn colourway is called, "Does this Rainbow make my Black Look Big" This is one colourway that you may find at Lisa's etsy shop found here:

This particular yarn, is 80% Superwash Merino 20% nylon, and feels so soft working with it and wearing it also! I can't wait to wear these socks and show them off to the my world!
MrB is the cranker in this venture. He creates hand-cranked knitted wool socks made on our Circular Sock Machine, we call Brigadier 88! It is the #88th Erlbacher Gearhart Knitting Machine newly made. Me, MsB is the cranky assistant (not) :-) that runs the business side of things, networking, doing the sock tags, yarn ordering, kitchener stitching and more. MrB is studious, and is constantly cranking out new pairs of SOCKS Made on 88! Our story and my blog unfolds here... it all began Jan.3, 2012

One of my favourtie places to take pictures of our socks!
Some of Socks Made On 88 socks!
Our website, my blog and our Facebook page all have a picture of socks, in this same location. Here is another one with different socks, just for fun!
These socks just happen to be facing the opposite direction as compared to the original photo, which is cool! |

Shortie-Tabbed Socks
This was MrB's first attempt at creating the shortie-tabbed socks!
The first pattern needed some modifications and with some further research into what we wanted to improve upon, MrB successfully found what he needed to change the pattern, and a new pair was cranked-out with proficiency. More shortie-tabs to come! And the good thing about trying out something new they were made in a women's size 8, so guess who gets to keep these ones and give them the worse-for-wear! You got that right, ME, MsB, smiling all the way to my sock drawer.

My checklist for getting ready to pack up for market tomorrow...
Sign check
Rack check
Socks Containers check
Stool Check
Bag of Tricks ( display baskets/props etc) check
Keep in mind this is only the stuff I get ready!
MrB has his own checklist to follow in his head also.
If we had any more stuff we would need more than a mid-sized car to transport it.
Tomorrow's market stint is our only appearance in the month of the May. We are hoping that since it is the day before Mother's Day that is a good day!

Jocelyne stopped by our "Show and Sell" display at the market on April 26, 2014. She was very intrigued with our socks and the process. Camera in hand, she proceeded to take photos! A few days later in our email we were welcomed with these lovely (8) pictures. Jocelyne gave me permission to use them or share them as along as I gave her credit for the taking of them.
