MrB is the cranker in this venture. He creates hand-cranked knitted wool socks made on our Circular Sock Machine, we call Brigadier 88! It is the #88th Erlbacher Gearhart Knitting Machine newly made. Me, MsB is the cranky assistant (not) :-) that runs the business side of things, networking, doing the sock tags, yarn ordering, kitchener stitching and more. MrB is studious, and is constantly cranking out new pairs of SOCKS Made on 88! Our story and my blog unfolds here... it all began Jan.3, 2012

MrB cranking out practice socks
MrB is cranking out socks for me to practice the kitchener stitch on the toes. OK I did three, still need way more practice as I am not getting the hang of it! But I have had enough of that for today.....MrB is still hard at it at sock-school , he has definitely made a full day of his learning today! Kudos to him!

I am just now figuring a bit out with your Blog. I registered a long time ago but did nothing with it.
Kitchener stitch,,,,,,, I think my mom puts the stitches on needles and works them that way. Black is the hardest to see. Wool is the easiest yarn t work with as it sits up nice, even if a bit of ravel happens.
I call it grafting or kitchner stitch and have put the instructions in my phone so I have it when travelling.
I will put in in another comment. Ran out of space. Angela
Yarn from back,
Go to front & purl
Go to back & knit
Front knit & drop
Front purl & leave
Back purl & drop
Back knit & leave.
Angela
Thanks Angela but I am a non-knitter and I need to learn it the CSM way witout knitting needles, and without knit and purl. The CSM method uses a tapestry hook. I will get back at it today and see what I can accomplish!
