As 2018 winds down, we very much look forward to 2019 also :-)

One more week till our last market of 2018 at the Halifax Brewery Farmer's Cooperative Market!  Our year really perked up once September rolled around and have a fablous Fall and Winter season selling our socks.  And of course this is always our busiest time of year.  Both Blake and I look forward to this time.  We always look forward to what the New Year brings too.  We will be at the market twice a month again come January 2019 and pretty much following our schedule as usual from past years.  Our schedule is up at the website for the year, to meet our customers advanced needs if so be it.  This years schedule does have one change though, with going 3 stints in March and only one in April.  May and June still have only one visit being considered our off season.  We will be there at the market July and August, hoping for lots of tourists in 2019.  Also when we have off season, MrB still knits/cranks as he knits ahead for the next Christmas starting in May or June to make sure we have ample pairs stock piled.  Also in January our rack will need to be replenished and our stock of our short tabbies will be re-stocked!  After 7 years we have it down pat, always preparing for what is just around the corner in the present year.  We have fun, we like to visit with our customers and hope they enjoy their sock pairs. And again this year, every time we are at the market, Blake will be demonstating the machine in action, showing of the art of sock making and talking about circular sock machine history.  The history is just about as much passion for him as the actual cranking. We are always ordering yarn colours and in January there will be new colours adorning the rack in all sizes.  We also have some 8 ply and a couple of our customers have already purchased them to try.  We are looking forward to your feedback on those.  We launched the Pony Tail Hat in 2018 and will continue to crank those out too as they are needed.  As I plan the New Year and recap the last year of 2018, it is only fitting to thank you all once again, whom purchased socks or hats from us this year!  We love chatting with our many repeat customers and also meeting many more new customers.  Whether you are an old or new customer, we value your visits even if it is just to say Hello, Good Morning or Have a Great Day!  Now only one more market for 2018, reminding you we will be there Dec 22/18.  January stints will be January 5th and 19th. Good Morning this October Morn!

We will be at the market this coming Sat. October 13/18 7am to 1pm.  Come down and gather and find that perfect pair of Fall coloured socks that will give your feet some Hugs!  We will also be at the market Oct 27/18.  In the months of November and December we will be at the market 3 times a month each.  I will post the dates in a separate post next :-)

A Beautiful Verandah Day in Tatamagouche!

We were visitors of Tatamagouche Yarn and Company! Blake was demonstrating the circular sock machine and I was selling our sock pairs! It was a beautiful hot day but very comfortable out on the verandah!  We had a very enjoyable day, and thank you to all who came out to see what the sock machine was all about! A special thank you to Beth also! Notice our nice bright T-shirts we are sporting for the occasion.  :-)

These are not all of the colours but most of them!  We have 8 different colours with a selection of 12 T-shirts, having 6 each.  My 6 colours are Neon Green, Green, Blue, Pink, Yellow and Orange!  And Mr. B choose Antique Green, Light Blue, Orange, Blue, Gold and Yellow!  You will now see us adorning our colourful T-shirts at Sock Events and sometimes Markets too!  You may even see us wondering around the city, province or elsewhere sporting one, doing some subtle advertising :-) Again I will say I love, love, love our new T-shirts!

So excited! After 6 years we got T-Shirts :-)

This is a sample of a couple of the Tshirts we got, and we are so very happy with them! No they are not just green and gold, we got other colours too!  We will surprise you later as we gradually take more photos as to the colours that were purchased :-)

Socks and Trips! Ready to get back at it, and we will be at the market Saturday!

Just got back from our yearly trip to Maine to the Good Karma Farm Crank-in, the 7th Annual! Awesome group of crankers!  The 8th Annual will be held June 13-16, 2019.  Any one interested can get info from CSM ANCHORS ravelry page and Facebook page.  Jim and Amy Grant are the hosts in Belfast, Maine.  

Lots of things to do before Saturday, cranking, kitchenering, packing up etc, getting ready for Market.  We are ready to get back into the swing of things! Onward... I hope the sun in shining :-) too.

Mid June and onward to September...

Just touching base today, seems like there are many things going on the media these days!  That is why my post is in Red and White, Canadian colours :-)

Market update is that we will back in full swing on June 23, 2018!  As much as we needed a little time off, we will be raring to get back to see our fellow vendors and Socks Made On 88 customers!

Well actually, we are taking the month of MAY off!

Tabbies, and then some time off :-)

We will be at the Brewery Market this Saturday, April 28, 2018.  A full compliment of TABBIES will be ready, in all colours and sizes for the Spring and Summer months.

Traditionally we are are the market once in May and once in June as these months are considered our Off- season months.  This year for the month of May we will not be making a market appearance.  Instead we are heading West to visit my mom who is not well.  Hoping a Mother's Day visit will lift her spirits.  And upon our return MrB will be very anxious to spend time digging in the dirt instead of cranking out sock pairs.  Well you know what?  He deserves a little break, we deserve a little now and again!  But you know where to find us if you need us for a special purchase, right?

Our stint for the month of June is scheduled as June 23/18!  If I have anything to report in the mean time, you will see me here over at our facebook page!  Take care, MsB and toodle-loo for now :-)
