Good dose of Fibre for today!

Brigadier 88 is getting a good dose of Fibre today!
Look at all the different colours of fibres in use as MrB cranks out socks.
MrB has been busy cranking and cranking to catch up from our sales at the market this week as his cranking time is limited to one week this stint before the next market.  Can he reach his goal?  I think I have 8 pairs or more to kitchener so I have get my arse in gear this afternoon.  It is great to kitchener and have the tv on playing the soaps.  I only put my head up when it's real important. hahaha

Purple in what world?

Purple in today's world?  No, apparently not, but it is to be purple in Tomorrow's World, as the name of this colourway is Tomorrow's World!  One kitchenered and then one more to go. Alas, all the cranking/knitting has been done for this week, goals met and some surpassed, which is good.  Tomorrow is getting ready for Saturday's Market, cuz we are still in today's world!

The Constrast!

The contrast of the pastel softness of the colourway Lollipop and the vibrant richness of the colourway Blind Venus with a splash of spring too!

Cool Ocean Breeze a blowin'

MrB took this picture today of me while we went out for a nice cool ocean breeze walk this afternoon.  And to make this post sock related, although it is St. Patrick's Day I did NOT have green socks on.  Today I had on my nice Belfast Mini Yarn from PEI, socks on that happen to be a beautiful lavender or mauve colour with two grey stripes.   I really like this picture so I wanted to share it with my blog followers!

St. Paddy's Day today

Holy Cow I just about forgot to post something for St. Paddy's Day!
My Tshirt for St. Paddy's  Day , March 17, 2013

Do you remember these?  These are my especially made sock pair for me to wear while mowing the lawn.  It is not lawn mowing season here yet, but these are the only green socks I had handy at the moment for the photo caption.  Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

Sweet and Spicy!

Sweet and spicy!  Are we talking about me, nope we are talking about this colourway series of yarn.  You know me by now I like all the socks.  I am not a fan of these ones.  I am soooo glad I only ordered this selection as I did not like any of the others in the series at all.  This one is tolerable but we will have to see how it goes when displayed at the market this Saturday.  MrB says he likes it so I am hoping others will also.  For me it is like Halloween and Christmas all mushed up into one!  I have taken the photo of this pair with something sweet and spicy, just to show them off, those of you who do love them!  I could be completely wrong and they sell quick as a flash in a pan!

To Liven up some Men's Feet!

MrB can do it, so can other men!  Here is a sample of some up and coming pairs that will presented at our next market.  We are attracting a younger men's crowd looking for some daring colour to add to their feet.  Are they daring enough to buy them though will be the big question of the day?  If they don't, not to worry, because you know who, will gladly take them off the display rack and put them in his own drawer. I am not mentioning any names :-)

So this is my latest market tactic....bright bright bright!  The conversative yarn will stay in the bag till winter. We bought conservative to please the ones who did not like colour.   Spring and Summer, lay on the colour!  Colour shows, colour sells!  Colour for our show and sell at the markets here I come. I wore a very conservative bland colour of socks last market appearance, and a regular market goer came up to me to say he noticed I did not have colourful socks on that day.  There you go, you think they may not be noticing your socks, but they are!  It will be mandate next Saturday, March 23 to sell one of these two pairs.
Can I do it?

Socks 2011, Socks now 2013

Socks once worn by MrB.  The once very conservative grey mundane socks!

Now look what he wears, sporting them happily with a giant smile on his face!
The contrast is unbelievable :-)  You would not believe how a brightly coloured pair of socks can liven your day and your feet!

MrB, I can guarantee, will have the brightest socks on, while dining for suppers at the resort at the Paradius Rio de Oro Resort and Spa, in a few weeks.

March 10, 2012 to March 10, 2013

March 10th, 2012, this was our very first small church market!  Can't believe it looking back that I actually sold a pair of socks that day!  I was scared shitless and excited.  Now one year later, I am an ole pro!  We had another very successful market experience yesterday.  MrB must have thought so too, as he got me these beautiful orange tulips.  They look awesome in our kitchen as our kitchen is orange too!  Very bright, very cheery, and the sun is beaming in today through the window.  Now to make this a sock related post, I want to say that we love orange socks too, and so do our customers.  They like socks with orange, purple and yellow in them and then I would think comes the colour pink!  What colour do you like in your socks?

Gone GREEN!

Gone Green!  We will have a couple pairs of our "Green, Ego-Friendly" Left-Over pairs of socks at the market Saturday.  I will also have a basket of other select socks in different shades of green there too for anyone who wants to have Green socks for the upcoming St. Paddy's Day, March 17th as we will not be attending the market Saturday, March 15th.  I am being the early bird that gets the worm.

Gotta Luv Left-Overs! Yarn that is!

Left-Overs for you on the left and Left-Overs for me on the right!
One thing about being the "Show and Sell Lady" for the markets, I constantly need new pairs for my sock wardrobe.  I try to wear a different pair every market, so far, I am good!  I am very excited that I have some recent pairs, to sport, upcoming for Spring and Summer :-)  Oh the pair on the left are for you... hope you like them.

This Little Piggie went to market...

I found this little piggie bank in my stash from things I kept of my two boys when they were little.  I cleaned it up tonight, and just had to post it....so I called this post, This little piggie went to market, since we are starting to get in gear getting ready for our market on Saturday.  And of course the whole idea of going to market is to bring home some pennies.   I will have a sock photo to post tomorrow, so see you then!

Serving up SOCKS!

A pair for me and a pair for him!
Ribbing is the latest... seeing how we like them?

Let's Step into Spring!

Lets step into Spring!  My hiking boot and sock and raring for the snow to melt!

Who doesn't want Spring to come soon?  MrB made me this nice ribbed sock!  Well actually a pair but he is still cranking out the 2nd one and I do not have it kitchenered yet.  I picked out this yarn particularily to go with my hiking boots.  I wear my hiking boots a lot camping, hiking, just trekking around and even to the markets once winter is gone.  Don't you think the yarn matches my boots perfectly with a bit of bling and colour too?  I love them!

March coming in as a Lion or Lamb?

Is March coming in as a lion or a lamb is a very good question for here, as I am just not sure yet.  We were to get a storm with lots of snow, but have not got any yet.  That does not deter the longing for spring though, and does not put a cease to cranking!  MrB has been ribbing up a storm lately!  This sock pair made especially for MrB himself sports nice spring colours and some wonderful Ribbing with e-wrap selvedge tops. These socks are of sport weight yarn done on the 60 cylinder.  He will give them a whirl, as they will be bright hugs on his feet!  So it doesn't matter if March comes in as a LION or a LAMB, Spring will be here soon enough.  When it arrives MrB will be wearing some socks with  some colourful wow factor!
