The beginnings of more Deranged Hats!

This is the Cone collecting some our Deranged Yarn for our Deranged Hats!

 
 I think we now have it down to a science.  We have leftovers from making our regular Hung-hemmed pairs, and ribbed pairs, to make Leftovers pairs and Shortie Tabbed pairs.  Then the leftovers of the leftovers go to Deranged Sock Pairs and the smaller amounts go to the Deranged Cone for Deranged Reversible Hats. I wonder how much deranged yarn we will have by winter and how many hats it will create?

The other day MrB bought a pair of Keen Shoes/Sandals.  Upon bringing them home, he left me the box. He knows I like to save boxes for Christmas gifts.  Before storing the box, I opened it and this is what I found.

It is a shoe stuffer!  Immediately I know what I was going to use it for.  It is great to display one of our shortie-tabbed socks.  Just take a look and see! I can't wait to use it at the market.

An internet friend of mine, named Josie, that I met online 10-11 years ago, bought two pairs of our Socks Made On 88 socks.  She and her Mr are traveling the USA from South Carolina to various parts of the USA heading west.  Today she sent me pictures to post to my blog.  She told me she was going to do this before she left.  I think its awesome that our socks are touching ground on various states of the US.  This is just like Flat Stanley taking an adventure only this is Josie +socks on a madventure as so she calls it!  I am thrilled to share the pictures with you.

Some Good Karma Yarn already dyed ...

that we brought home!  This yarn is too yummy on the feet, come January and February for our Canadian winters wearing around the house and in winter boots! The dark coral one is MrB's and the other two are mine!

All the yarn we dyed, 2 skeins for MrB and 4 skeins for me!

I am showing off these 2 of mine which is the new Sport yarn ( wool and alpaca)  One  pair of socks and one for a hat for me, whenever MrB gets around to cranking them out for me!  I am so very excited to see both of these projects!

We always try to take a few photos at Good Karm Farm.  This is our 3rd consecutive time attending the crank-in, and we always have so much fun!  MrB loves interacting with other crankers and I love to help manning the dyeing in the mill.  I also enjoy dyeing some yarn for my own use.  MrB took a hand in this again this year, and dyed two skeins for himself.  I have some pictures of the yarn we dyed, and I also am going to share a picture of each of us at the farm.  And we can not go to the farm without also sharing a photo of the animals too.

Look what I bought at the market!

I thought it would be very fitting to have this little sock keychain attached to my purse for our summer travels. The little sock is not quite 5 cm long. It will make its first adventure this weekend to Maine, to take in the Good Karma Farm Crank-in!

June's Market Attendance and More

This was our one and only market attendance in June.  We  consider 4 months to be in our Off-Season, June being the second consecutive month.  It was pouring rain and not a really nice day at all.  We were moved to a different location and I was worried about the outcome.  It just goes to prove that our SOCKS sell by themselves, location does not matter at this point, which I am very happy to say. And we did have a very successful market today after all.

I came up with a creative way to show off some of our new Shortie-Tabbed socks also.  Here is the photo.

For any of our Market goers, who follow my blog, we will be back to the market again on July 26th, 2014!  Hope to see you then, so please stop by and say hello.  We also look forward to seeing and chatting with tourists who wander down to Brewery Square to investigate.  I know that is 6 weeks away, but we do have some of our own summer adventures to go on and to make some family visits also.  We take full advantage of the flexibility that is offered to us in this off-season! But MrB will also be cranking outdoors on some sunny days to satisfy his love of sock-making!
